The CIPC Are Watching Companies For Compliance To The Six Month AFS Rule!

Recently the CIPC issued notice number 33 of 2024 which relates to Companies meeting the six month deadline for Approved Annual Financial Statements. Under Section 30 (1) of the Companies Act, 71 of 2008, all companies not exempted by Section 30 (2A) of the Companies Act, 71 of 2008 are required to have a set of Approved Annual Financial Statements within six months of their Financial Year End, failing which the CIPC will investigate the companies, apply enforcement Notices which may lead to Administrative Penalties.
