The CIPC have issued notice 36 of 2024 as an update on the current backlog status of Company and Close Corporation Reinstatement applications. There appears to have been headways and the backlog time schedule has been reduced from fifteen working days to the current five working days. The CIPC reallocated resources to from addressing the growing number of reinstatement enquiries to the processing of the reinstatement applications and have advised that they will not attend to any enquiry submitted on or before the 30 April 2024 on enqreinstatements@cipc.co.za. You are therefore required to resubmit your enquiry if you have had no feedback within the next five working days. The CIPC have also requested that only enqreinstatements@cipc.co.za be used for the reinstatement enquiries and not reinstatements@cipc.co.za as this creates new tickets and doubles the CIPC’s workload during this pressured time.
